The International Education and Lifelong Learning Institute (IELLI) are now recruiting PGRs as Academic Skills Project Workshop Coordinators for the next academic year (2025/2026). This is a great opportunity for PGR students to gain teaching and module management experience, as they will design and oversee the delivery of a suite of department-specific study skills for undergraduates, in a paid role. Job Description (paid at hourly rate of £16.65 + holiday):
- To design the programme in consultation with the DoT and their workshop leaders.
- To monitor quality of materials and delivery and upload any materials to Moodle.
- To recruit workshop leaders.
- To submit monthly time sheets of workshop leaders’ hours to IELLI and ensure each workshop leader delivers at least two workshops.
- To liaise with IELLI to ensure all contracts are completed and active before employment, adhering to new UK right to work regulations.
- To publicise the programme within the School/department.
- To manage the budget.
- To book venues/manage online learning platforms (e.g. Moodle and Teams).
- To upload workshop attendance within 2 weeks of workshops taking place.
- To encourage evaluation of workshops by distributing evaluation forms, feeding back to Workshop Leaders, and using evaluation to inform future programme decisions.
- To engage in cross-school peer observation.
- To report on project at the end of each semester, including considerations for future iterations of the programme.
