St Leonard’s College 50th Anniversary – celebrations continued through the Winter Graduation ceremonies.
The finale of the College’s 50th Anniversary celebrations in 2024, came in the week of the Winter Graduation ceremonies.
On Monday 2nd November, the College proudly hosted a public Graduation Lecture by Dame Anne Glove ‘Why Evidence Matters’. Focusing on evidence is vital in policy decision making and creation. The lecture was held in the Booth Lecture Theatre within the Medicine building in the North Haugh. The Principal introduced Dame Anne Glover to an large audience comprising of staff, students and members of the public.
The lecture was followed by a Graduation dinner, hosted by the Graduation office, the attendees were a mix of Postgradute students, graduands, staff (inlcuing the Principal, Provost and Associate Provosts), the St Leonards College team and Development guests.
Professor Dame Anne Glover was awarded a honorary degree during the morning ceremony on Tuesday 3 December 2024, alongside postgraduate graduands.
The ceremony on Monday afternoon, saw the Graduation a former member of the St Leonard’s College team – Natosha Hoduski. Natosha worked as the College’s Community Assistant during the 2023-24 academic year. Many current students and graduates will recognise Natosha from events last year. She was also awarded the Principal’s medal for her achievements both academically, personally and for her roles held at the university during her studies ( Assistant Warden and College Community Assistant).
At each of the ceremonies the Principal has spoken about the College and its anniversary and it has made it a Winter Graduation week that the St Leonard’s team will remember for a long time!
