New funding for Life Sciences PhD students
St Leonard’s College is pleased to announce additional funding for Life Sciences Postgraduate Research students, the Struther Arnott Postgraduate Award will support students by providing funding for travel activities related to their research project.
The awards were established in memory of the late Professor Struther Arnott who served as Principal of the University between 1986 and 1999. He was an accomplished biophysicist, whose expertise in the structure of DNA defined the paraments of the structure which is still used today.
Two awards of £1,500 will be available to PhD students whose research falls within the realm of the Life Sciences (typically Biology, Chemistry, Medicine and Neuroscience)
