PGR Job Opportunity – St Leonard’s College Community Assistant
St Leonard’s Postgraduate College are looking for a Community Assistant to join their team at the Old Burgh School. The role works alongside the College’s Coordinator and Executive Officer.
12-15 hours a week ( 3 hours per day, 4-5 days a week Monday to Friday 9am-5pm)
£10.90 per hour
This role is in person based in the Old Burgh School, St Andrews.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide front of house support and hospitality to students and visitors
- Provide administrative support relating to the Old Burgh School
- Liaise with internal University services for building related queries
- Sort and distribute post
- Manage OBS supplies
- Organise and assist in the delivery of regular Postgraduate student events (online and in-person)
- Create content for College’s website and other media
- Manage College’s social media posts
- May be required to undertake relevant duties commensurate with the post
Essential
- Postgraduate researcher, second-year or above, in good standing with their supervisor
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Good IT skills including proficiency in main Microsoft Office 365 applications
- Good liaison and networking skills
- Strong sense of sensitivity to those who may help and initiate appropriate action by involving the relevant people
Preferred
- Previous administration experience
- Social media experience – creating content/posts
- Experience of Canva
- Experience of creating and running student focused events
- QA level 3 First Aid at Work or willingness to complete certification
